SOIL SURVEY NOW AVAILABLE

The Web Soil Survey (WSS) provides soil data  and  information   produced  by  the National  Cooperative  Soil  Survey.   It is operated by USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS).  NRCS has soil maps  and data  available online  for  95 % of the  nation's  counties.   Soil surveys can be used for general farm, local and wider area planning.    The  Logan County  Board  entered into a  cooperative agreement to update and digitize Logan  County's 35 year old  soil survey.  Funding for the update was shared by Logan County Board, Illinois Depart. of Ag,  NRCS, and Logan County Soil & Water Conservation District.   Other News: Click here to view some of our recent conservation projects that are highlighted on the Association of Illinois SWCD's web site.
